Calling all African and international film professionals!
The Creative Producers’ Indaba (CPI), a prestigious film producer development program, is now accepting applications for its fourth edition. This program is led by the Cape Town-based Realness Institute in collaboration with EAVE, IFFR Pro (International Film Festival Rotterdam), and Atlas Workshops (Marrakech International Film Festival).
Boost Your Skills and Network
The CPI equips participants with practical tools for film production management, leadership skills, and strategic business development. Through a mix of in-person and online workshops, participants gain knowledge from seasoned professionals, including producers, lawyers, financiers, and sales experts.
The program boasts a strong track record. Since its launch in 2021, 45 producers from 18 countries have participated, with many experiencing significant success. Alumni highlight the program’s impact on their careers and ability to secure co-productions.
Who can Apply?
African Creative Producers: Five spots are available for African producers with audiovisual projects in development.
International Producers: Five spots are open for international producers interested in co-producing with Africa (no project required).
African Film Professionals: Five spots are available for African professionals in film sales, funding, festivals, markets, or institutions seeking to work across continents.
The Program’s Mission
The CPI aims to:
Develop influential producers who can shape film industry growth in Africa.
Foster collaboration between Europe, America, Asia, and Africa.
Facilitate the exchange of ideas and international co-productions.
Program Highlights
Attend workshops at the Marrakech International Film Festival (November 2024) and International Film Festival Rotterdam (January 2025).
Receive mentorship from industry experts like Mehret Mandefro and Diana Elbaum.
Learn from renowned guest speakers like Constanza Arena, Sata Cissokho, Tracey Lee Rainers, and Isioma Idigbe.
Eligibility and Application
Applicants must have experience in film production (feature film, series, documentary) or a minimum of four years in the film industry. The application deadline is July 15th, 2024 (12:00 Central African Time).
